Working at EL Education

Our Culture

We're a proud community of 150 diverse professionals unified by our mission to transform public education. Across the country, we combine our diverse talents to build schools and resources that unleash the full potential of teachers and students. As a crew, we design supportive environments that challenge and lift each other’s work so that we may all share in success.

Crew is a structure

Icon-MultiAppleTree

Crew is a ritual gathering in our schools, offices, and convenings, where character development, shared accountability, and team building are intentional.

Crew is spirit

Icon-AppleTree

We see crew in action whenever students, partners, and staff step up and take responsibility for the well-being and success of the team.

Crew is support

Crew in Action

Diversity and equity are the cornerstones of crew and are among the founding Design Principles for EL Education. The diverse backgrounds and experiences of our staff are critical to the strength and success of each crew. That’s why we foster respect for the dignity and worth of each crew member in our policies and practices.

A Day in the Life

Our culture mirrors our model for successful character development in schools. After all, students aren’t the only ones who thrive in an environment built on collaboration, challenging work, acceptance, a "growth-mindset", and joy; adults do too.
