- Learning targets as it relates to algebra. Can be very abstract. It is one of those areas of math that is going to stay with you forever. Volunteer, read it to me.

- I can solve linear equations in one variable.

- I can solve linear equations in one variable. Facilitators, I want you to got one word from your teammates what’s important in this learning target?

- And which one you pick?

- Equations.

- Eight, seven, six, five. Let’s hear from Tyrone’s team. Who’s the facilitator over there?

- Linear.

- So, what does it mean for it to be a linear equation? I want you to look at the word linear. See what word you see inside that word, come back in 30 seconds with a thumb up.

- The graphs and when we did the linear, all the points were lined up and equal.

- Line.

- Ten, nine, eight, thumbs up if you came up with what you think linear means. Your group is solid? You’re like, yes. Alright, let’s look back at our target. I am going to find a solution to an equation, that’s equal, something that has something that’s equal on both sides, that equation should make a

- [Class] Line.

- Line. And then our last part is it has.

- [Erica] But what does this variable mean? Mia?
