Restorative Practices in Crew at Brooklyn Collaborative

"Restorative Practices to me is a lifestyle. It means community, it means building relationships, it means healing." -- Jose Rivera
"You can't restore what you haven't built." --Taron Williams

Jose Rivera and Taron Williams, Restorative Practices Coordinators at Brooklyn Collaborative, an EL Education school, take us through three layers of the restorative practices model at their school:
-Re-affirming relationships through developing social emotional skills (as seen in Crew meetings)
-Repairing relationships (as seen in a Crew support circle)
-Rebuilding Relationships (as seen in a restorative circle after a conflict occurred)

Jose, Taron, and students explain how the Crew culture and structure contribute to restorative practices at their school.
