Lindsay Slabich, founding teacher and EL Education lead teacher at The Springfield Renaissance School in Springfield, MA has been named the 2017 recipient of the Klingenstein Teacher Award. 

On October 29th, Lindsay joined Lee Klingenstein, our Founding Board Chair, on stage at the EL Education 2017 National Conference in Chicago to receive the award. In accepting the honor, Lindsay shared inspiring words with an audience of 1200 educators and school leaders:

"When we hold our deepest convictions together with compassion and openness towards others, we are fundamentally human.  When we ask questions with curiosity, and listen closely, not to disagree, but to connect, and understand, then we reach our potential as humans."
