School Leaders align all domains of an EL Education school—curriculum, instruction, culture and character, assessment, and leadership—to the vision and mission (see Core Practice 32: Fostering a Cohesive School Vision). They define and articulate the roles and responsibilities of personnel needed to achieve the vision, recruit and hire faculty and staff who will increase student achievement, and invest time and expertise in regular and ongoing data analysis that informs strategy. Leaders engage in cycles of goal setting and strategy implementation that support continuous improvement. They implement and manage change with sensitivity to multiple stakeholder perspectives, individual concerns, and collective goals.
