Jason Cherin led the World of Inquiry School #58 soccer team to a feat that hasn't been accomplished in 34 years. That's one reason to pay attention to Jason. Another reason: the senior takes six AP courses and he's News10NBC Scholar Athlete of the Week.

Jason's workload would surely keep anyone busy. The senior maintains a 97 average while juggling those six AP classes. He loves math and science. He plans on studying exercise, science and biomechanics. He is a standout at World of Inquiry, an EL Mentor School, and a role model whether he realizes it or not.

Jason's leadership doesn't end in the classroom. He's also the captain of the Griffin's soccer team. A team that just completed only its second season and what a season it was. The team was able to win a sectional championship, the first soccer title for any city school in 34 years. A win, not only for World of Inquiry, but also for Rochester.
