U.S. News & World Report Names Eight Expeditionary Learning High Schools on its 2014 List

Eight Expeditionary Learning high schools are included in U.S. News & World Report’s 2014 Best High Schools ranking. 

One Expeditionary Learning school received a Silver Medal:  

  • Washington Heights Expeditionary Learning School
Seven others received Bronze Medals:
  • Brooklyn Secondary School for Collaborative Studies
  • Capital City Public Charter School
  • Codman Academy Charter Public School
  • Decatur Discovery Academy
  • Kettle Falls 5-12
  • Open World Learning Community
  • Springfield Renaissance School
The eight EL schools were among the 4,707 schools that received Gold, Silver or Bronze medals. There are a total of 31,242 public high schools in all 50 states and the District of Columbia.  U.S. News & World Report reviewed 19,411 schools, which is the total number of public high schools across the country that had high enough 12th-grade enrollment and sufficient data from the 2011-2012 school year to be eligible for the rankings.
