On Tuesday, August 18th, Two Rivers Public Charter School hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony at its third building at the Charles E. Young Elementary School in NE D.C. One of the most sought after schools in the city, more than 3,000 students applied for the 300 available spots for the 2015-2016 school year.

Executive Director and co-founder, Jessica Wodatch: “The demand for a Two Rivers education has been overwhelming, and we are thrilled to be able to respond by opening another campus at Young. At Two Rivers we create lifelong learners who can think critically, solve problems, and collaborate with others. We are overjoyed to bring this educational model to more students and to a new neighborhood. Young is a beautiful campus with a rich history, and we’re delighted to launch its new chapter.”

Ron Berger, Chief Program Officer, Expeditionary Learning: “In addition to having a school culture that celebrates inquiry, and joy in learning, Two Rivers also has remarkable academic results.”
