On June 18th, Expeditionary Learning President & CEO Scott Hartl participated in the Social Impact Exchange (SIE) conference and introduced EL to a group of funders, philanthropic advisors, and leaders who gathered to share knowledge, learn about co-funding opportunities, and develop a community to help scale top initiatives. He wrote about his experience and the organization's scaling plans on the SIE's blog.

Last year, SIE identified EL as a game-changing non-profit ready to scale and selected the organization to participate in the first-of-its-kind Scaling Marketplace.  EL was selected as one of five education-focused nonprofits and four health-focused nonprofit organizations that collectively are raising a total of $140 million in growth capital.
