"We are not going away, we deserve a place to play."
We salute Polaris Charter Academy students who marched for peace, played football, climbed on the playground equipment, and danced in a nearby park to protest gun violence in their Chicago community. Their third annual “Our Day in May” is a part of a living expedition that started three years ago with their Peacekeepers of Chicago project that included a book inspired by the civil rights work of King Middle School, a fellow EL Education school - a beautiful example of #WeAreCrew!
