On January 20th, first-graders from Decatur GA's Oakhurst Elementary School presented at the Decatur City Commision meeting as the culminating event for their expedition, "What Can One Little Person Do?".

In their presentation, students made the case for local changes that would make their community more accessible for all community members.

In her moment at the podium, one Oakhurst student told the room, “We have been learning about differences and what one little person can do. We’re fixing stuff in downtown Oakhurst for people with differences. There are no ramps in downtown Oakhurst so people with wheelchairs won’t be able to get up on the sidewalk. It would be really difficult for them to live here.”
