Anyone who has taught in a classroom recognizes the flood of emotion that comes when a student says something you know isn’t ok. Teachers know they must act, and also that some responses can escalate a situation rather than diffuse it.
At Codman Academy, they don’t shy away from this fact; they prepare for it.
