Four Rivers Students present, "Renewable Redoable: Burlington, Vt."
On Thursday, February 11th, students from Four Rivers Public Charter School in Greenfield, MA premiered their student documentary, "Renewable Redoable: Burlington, Vt." at Greenfield Garden Cinemas.
The documentary, a final project for the "How Do We Keep the Lights On?" learning expedition incorporates interviews, all conducted by the students, with the local mayor, operators of the wind turbines, biomass plants, and University of Vermont professors and focuses on how the city of 42,000 people overcame political, economic and technical obstacles, clearing the way for the city to run on completely renewable energy sources since 2014.
