From the engaging keynote presentations through the master classes, discussion groups, and informal chats, the Expeditionary Learning national conference was a week filled with deep learning, engagement, and inspiration. While it will take a while to sort through all of the wonderful things that happpened, here are some things we do know:

782 educators took part in the conference, 570 of those were from EL schools.

28 states were represented by 114 EL schools.

Nearly 12,000 hours of professional development were offered in 123 master classes, 27 discussion groups, 4 pre-conference "slices," and 3 keynote presentations.

And, perhaps most movingly, students from King Middle School presented their project: "Small Acts of Courage: Memories of the Civil Rights Movement." See the full product here.

In the coming weeks, we will be:

  • uploading hundreds of student projects to the student project archive
  • posting video from the two Saturday presentations
  • posting pictures from the pre-conference and opening days of the conference
Thanks to all who made it such a successful and wonderful week. Special congratulations to our Northwest regional office for hosting.
