Expeditionary Learning Middle School students work to reduce drug use and violence in their community
On December 20, 2010, Expeditionary Learning Middle School 7th grade students hosted their Tipping Points Exhibition Night. Their goal was to initiate a positive social epidemic: Reducing Drug Use and Violence in Our Community. Some guests in attendance for this event were Youth Day Barbeque founder Mary Nelson, Post Standard columnist Sean Kirst, journalist Laura Ryan, and Post Standard editor Marie Morelli. At this event, students presented their Tipping Point messages to the Syracuse community, with hopes that their message would stick.
