NEW YORK—EL Education is pleased to announce the 2019 EL Education National Conference: One Vision, Three Dimensions. Held in Atlanta, Georgia, from October 16-19, the conference will host educators from across the country and feature 100 master classes on topics ranging from restorative justice to social-emotional learning for educators at all levels.

“The EL Education 2019 National Conference is designed to challenge educators’ thinking, provide them with meaningful professional learning, and prepare them to implement new and innovative ideas in their work,” said Scott Hartl, El Education President and CEO. “We want attendees to learn exactly what it means to prepare students for high achievement across three dimensions: academics, character, and high quality work, so they can bring top-notch instruction and guidance to their classrooms, schools, and districts.”

The EL Education 2019 National Conference (#ELNC19) is EL Education’s largest conference yet and will host more thought leaders and subject matter experts than ever before, support literacy curriculum partners with dedicated master class selections, create pathways for math teachers, highlight student voice and presence, and introduce innovative programming, including 4-hour intensives, expert panels, and more.

EL Education 2019 National Conference Keynote Speaker:
John B. King, Jr
John B. King Jr. is the president and CEO of The Education Trust, a national nonprofit organization that seeks to identify and close opportunity and achievement gaps, from preschool through college. Before his tenure at The Education Trust, King served in President Barack Obama’s cabinet as the 10th U.S. Secretary of Education.

At #ELNC19 King will address issues of equity, contribution, and academic excellence in education. Additionally, King will have a real-time conversation with middle school students about their education experiences and how they contribute to the betterment of the world.
