2018 Annual Report
2018 was a year of growth, challenge, learning, and contribution for our organization—in those respects, no different from a year for EL Education students.
Thanks to our partners and supporters, our vision of education—students and teachers engaging in work that is challenging and meaningful, where learning and achievement flourish—is one in which ever-larger numbers of parents, teachers, and communities find hope.
We are proud to feature the work of middle school students from the Interdistrict School for Arts and Communication (ISAAC), our partner school in New London, Connecticut, in this year’s report. In 2018, these students embarked on an academic study in their 6th grade social studies class and along the way became historians, journalists, photographers, designers, publishers, and changemakers. You can learn more about their compelling project in this video, Community Faces-Humanizing the Immigrant Label.
