St. George School is a community-centered K-8 public school of approximately 200 students located in picturesque MidCoast
Maine. We are committed to academic excellence, community engagement, EL Education and shared leadership.

At St. George School, teachers work in teams to innovate, educate, and develop as professionals. Professional teams play key roles in shaping and directing our school-community. These teams include the Leadership Team, Grade SpanTeams (K-2, 3-5, 6-8), Unified Arts Team, Special Services Team, and Ed Tech Team as well as teams with more narrow focuses such as the Math Team and Scheduling Team. The Leadership Team, composed of administrators and representatives from the Grade Span, Unified Arts, Special Services, and Ed Tech Teams, is tasked with ensuring that our EL Work Plan is implemented and dealing with issues that are beyond the scope of other teams.

Our shared leadership model operates with a K-8 Instructional Administrator who supports, guides, and coordinates teacher teams; focuses on teaching, learning, and curriculum; manages disciplinary procedures; and supports family communication and engagement. The Instructional Administrator facilitates the Leadership Team and is responsible for teacher evaluations.

We are looking for an innovative person with experience at a variety of grade levels to serve as the K-8 Instructional Administrator. The ideal candidate will be able to work with individual teachers and facilitate high functioning teacher teams, understand how to incorporate best practices into the reality of the classroom, and have a commitment to and experience with EL Education.
