About Meadow Glen:

Meadow Glen Middle School is an EL Credentialed School located in Lexington, South Carolina. We are one of three public schools in Lexington School District One that make up the only complete EL schools feeder system in the network (Meadow Glen Elementary and Middle and River Bluff High School). Meadow Glen Middle just celebrated our 7th anniversary and we serve 1000 + students with 14 different languages spoken on our campus. We believe in and practice collective leadership on our campus. Our teachers support and promote student voice both in and out of the school community. Collaboration, innovation, critical thinking and a growth mindset are driving forces in our school. General Responsibilities:

Works collaboratively with content colleagues to plan and implement innovative opportunities for students to learn relevant science content skills while integrating the Science and Engineering Standards into all learning experiences.
This position provides a unique experience of looping with students from 6th grade to 7th grade. 

Along with building meaningful relationships with students, this position requires a strong content background in South Carolina Academic Science Standards for 6th and 7th grades.

Position Qualifications and Application Procedure:

This position requires a minimum of a bachelor’s degree and a current South Carolina teaching certificate. Some candidates may be eligible for alternative certification based on course work completed while earning a bachelor or master’s degree.
