WePD: Race, Bias, and Power: Addressing Sensitive Topics in Curriculum Series
How do we set teachers up to be successful when discussing sensitive topics of race, bias, and power in the classroom? The journey to exploring sensitive topics related to EL’s curriculum is adaptive, not technical work. This series of workshops builds skills for coaching teachers in addressing sensitive topics in classroom instruction and skills in engaging teachers in work that challenges mindsets and beliefs. Participants will learn a clear process to support teachers in addressing sensitive topics within the curriculum with a coach's lens.
This session will run from 1:30-3:00 pm Eastern Time.
Participants will receive a certificate for 1.5 hours of professional learning.
Eligibility and Audience: For Leaders, Coaches, and Teachers of Grades 3-8 at EL Education Partner Schools
