“We Are Crew” applies to not only the social and emotional well-being of the EL Education Community, but to physical health and safety as well. As such, Management in the Active Classroom will be held virtually August 3-5, 2020.
EL Education staff are highly skilled at facilitating impactful professional development both in person and virtually - and we are excited to be able to offer this institute while keeping our communities safe. This institute will be re-imagined for a virtual space so that participants begin the 2020-2021 school year prepared to develop thoughtful, proactive structures that are implemented to support students - especially in these rapidly changing times.
Classroom Management is a foundation for learning. This institute will help teachers establish classrooms that are respectful, collaborative, and growth-oriented. This learning experience is intended for all classroom teachers, whether new to the classroom or looking to deepen their practice, the content will focus on developing thoughtful, proactive, management structures that are implemented in every learning experience; adding strategies to teachers’ classroom management toolbox; helping students become self-directed learners; establishing and reinforcing classroom norms; deepening teachers’ understanding of restorative practice; and dealing with challenging behaviors.
Registration will remain open until July 20th or until the institute fills. Many institutes fill quickly, please register early to ensure a spot.
