Leadership Development, EL Education Virtual Institute
Network School Partners
“We Are Crew” applies to not only the social and emotional well-being of the EL Education Community, but to physical health and safety as well. As such, the Leadership Induction Institute will be held virtually July 15-17, 2020.
EL Education staff are highly skilled at facilitating impactful professional development both in person and virtually - and we are excited to be able to offer this institute while keeping our communities safe. This institute will be designed for a virtual space so that participants are well-equipped to support student achievement and engagement - especially in these rapidly changing times.
This institute is an essential induction for all leaders (both novice and veteran) who are new to leading an EL Education network school. Participants will learn how EL Education leaders cultivate the mindsets and equitable conditions for Continuous Improvement so that all students achieve consistently positive outcomes across all three dimensions: mastery of knowledge and skills, character, and high-quality work. It introduces leaders to the specific ways the EL Education model impacts student achievement and engagement. Participants examine exemplary practice to learn about the school leader’s role in supporting high quality implementation of this model through strategic, instructional, and cultural leadership. They also learn about EL Education’s role as a partner in this work. Participants are guided to apply what they learn to their own contexts through the development of their own Learning Plan that they will then advance with their School Designer and Leadership Team.
Note: We expect all new principals and all principals new to leading an EL network school to enroll in the Leadership Induction Institute.
Registration will remain open until July 1st or until the institute fills. Many institutes fill quickly, please register early to ensure a spot.
