What is at the very core of our practices on curriculum, assessment, instruction, character and culture, and leadership? Many of our partners know our K-8 ELA EL Education curriculum, and many of our partners know about our full school model, but at the Core of it all are a set of unifying practices that are the difference-makers for all our students and our commitment to continuous improvement for equity. This 3-day institute will resonate primarily with a teacher audience, through immersion into the practices that are at the core of our curriculum and full school model: student-engaged assessment, deeper instruction that challenges, engages and empowers students, developing a positive culture of Crew with students and staff and shared leadership. Drawing from our Core Practices and our renown texts on instruction, including our ELA Curriculum, these three days bring our partners on the learning journey through the very core of our vision for all students through our districts and school partnerships. We encourage, when possible, for teams of teachers to attend along with their instructional coach or building leader. All participants will leave with an implementation plan to immediately put into action what they have learned.
This is an in-person event. For participant safety, EL Education requires attendees to be vaccinated and show a negative COVID-19 test in order to attend. Please see details here.
