Often, as teachers, we are not satisfied with the quality of work our students create, but this is rarely due to the potential of our students: It is almost always due to the way we structure our assignments and instruction. This is great news because it is within our power to transform! This institute will focus closely on the attributes of high-quality work, Core Practice 12: Planning for and Supporting High-Quality Work and Core Practice 37: Ensuring High-Quality Instruction. Beginning with standards in mind, participants will:
Level: Beginner
Engage
- Engage with other educators from across the nation as they build a community of collaborative learning and co-construct knowledge together.
Explore
- Explore the intersection between high-quality work and high-quality planning, and how standards undergird both daily and long-term instruction.
Enhance
- Enhance their practice in aligning standards-based daily instruction with long-term project design.
Evolve
- Evolve their ability to craft rubrics and target trackers, and utilize feedback protocols that drive all students towards more than they ever thought possible.
