This site seminar will invite participants to pull back the curtain and learn about the leadership structures and strategies that ensure Capital City Public Charter School, an EL Mentor School, is able to meet the needs of its diverse student body and fulfill its mission. Participants will engage in observations, workshops, and various protocols that will allow them to learn about what works at Capital City and reflect upon their own professional context. Topics will include the school’s focus on building a strong and equitable school culture through shared leadership, aligning practices along the PK-12 continuum, using data to improve instruction, and operational leadership and structures to fulfill the vision. This site seminar is appropriate for school leaders, operational managers, instructional coaches, teacher leaders, and coordinators of school culture. There will be opportunities for participants to meet with leaders involved in similar roles and develop plans and strategies for their own schools.
