The Springfield Renaissance School, a credentialed EL Education Mentor School, was founded in 2006. Renaissance is an urban, grade 6-12 college-bound school serving 700 students. In our Site Seminar, participants and members of the Renaissance community engage together in an exploration of our guiding question:

How do we create a culturally responsive school: one that leverages EL structures like expeditions, Crew, and student voice as drivers for equity and excellence across the three dimensions for student achievement?

Join us to unpack how we are creating a culturally responsive school by leveraging Expeditions, Crew, and student voice as drivers for equity and student achievement across the three dimensions.

Site seminars are two-day, in-person events where participants can take a deep dive into the EL Education model. You can expect to interact with students, school leaders, teachers, and more during your visit. Participants will have the opportunity to visit EL classrooms in action and see targeted Core Practices come to life in an environment that strives to provide an equitable experience for all learners.
