This virtual institute is designed to equip educators with the daily-level assessment practices that help students take charge of their learning whether instruction is face to face or remote.

1: Where are we headed? Using Learning Targets and Models to Communicate a Vision

2: Where are we now, and how do we know? Using Checking for Understanding and Critique To Gauge Student Progress

3: How will we get where we’re going?  Using High Quality Descriptive Feedback and Goal-Setting to Improve Student Work

In this session, teachers will learn to use checking for understanding techniques and critique processes, so that students and teachers have a clear and accurate sense of students’ current level of mastery toward/on a learning target. This session is suitable for teachers who engaged in ADI 1, or who have experience using learning targets in their teaching already. 

This institute will take place between:

11:00 am-5:00 pm Eastern time
10:00 am-4:00 pm Central time
9:00 am-3:00 pm Mountain time
8:00 am-2:00 pm Pacific time
7:00 am-1:00 pm Alaska Daylight time

Participants will receive a certificate for six hours of professional learning.
