This virtual institute is designed to equip educators with the daily-level assessment practices that help students take charge of their learning whether instruction is face to face or remote.

1: Where are we headed? Using Learning Targets and Models to Communicate a Vision

2. Where are we now, and how do we know? Using Checking for Understanding and Critique

3: How will we get where we’re going? Using High Quality Descriptive Feedback and Goal-Setting to Improve Student Work

In this session, teachers will learn to write quality learning targets and use models to illuminate them, so that students have a clear vision of their learning goals.

We know that schools will be in a range of situations, and we will offer breakout spaces for those currently teaching face to face and those teaching remotely.

This session will take place between 11:00 AM and 5:30 PM ET.

Participants will receive a certificate for six hours of professional learning.

Registration will open at 12:00 PM ET on August 10, 2020.
