This virtual institute is designed to equip educators with the daily-level assessment practices that help students take charge of their learning whether instruction is face to face or remote. 

1: Where are we headed? Using Learning Targets and Models to Communicate a Vision

2: Where are we now, and how do we know? Using Checking for Understanding and Critique To Gauge Student Progress

3: How will we get where we’re going?  Using High Quality Descriptive Feedback and Goal-Setting to Improve Student Work

In this session, teachers will analyze how to support student progress toward creating quality student work through the use of goal-setting and high quality descriptive feedback. 

We know that schools will be in a range of situations, and we will offer breakout spaces for those currently teaching face to face and those teaching remotely. 

This session will take place between:

11:00am-5:30pm Eastern time
10:00am-4:30pm Central time
9:00am-3:30pm Mountain time
8:00-2:30pm Pacific time
7:00-1:30 Alaska Daylight time

Participants will receive a certificate for six hours of professional learning.

Registration will remain open until October 15th at 8:00 p.m. Eastern time or until the institute fills. Many institutes fill quickly, please register early to ensure a spot.
