The Springfield Renaissance (6-12) site seminar will investigate the classroom and school-wide structures that foster student ownership of their learning and lead to high student achievement. Participants will explore the Renaissance structures that support students to master knowledge and skills, build character, and produce high-quality work. Structures include: the workshop model, instructional protocols, habits of work, crew, student-led conferences and passages, and “sweating the small stuff.”
