Among the many critical decisions leaders make, none are more vital than decisions around building and sustaining a strong school culture. This two-day site seminar is designed to focus on the dimension of Culture and Character from the EL Education Learning Core Practice handbook. Using Polaris Charter Academy as the case study, participants will explore the essential ties between developing a strong positive school culture and preparing students to be leaders within their school and broader community. Participants will engage Polaris students, parents and staff through a series of observations, workshops, panel discussion and school-wide celebrations. Participants should expect to come away with a clear understanding of the importance of the six EL Core Practices in the dimension of Culture and Character and concrete ideas for implementing them in their own schools.
